Rise & Shine | Breath 6min
Breath of Joy is a dynamic breathwork practice that combines rhythmic breathing with expressive arm movements to energize the body and uplift the spirit. The technique involves three sharp inhalations through the nose raising the arms forward, to the sides, and overhead followed by a powerful exhale through the mouth as you fold forward. This sequence is repeated several times, creating a natural rhythm that stimulates circulation, oxygenates the body, and clears stagnant energy.
This breath and movement combo activates the sympathetic nervous system in a healthy, controlled way, giving you a gentle energy boost while also helping to reduce feelings of sluggishness or low mood. It's especially beneficial when you need to shake off fatigue, reset after a long sit, or lift your emotional state.
Expect to feel more awake, present, and open ready to meet your day with renewed vitality. Remember you can start from counting to 3 if 4 seems too much. Enjoy!
* While generally safe, it may not be suitable for those with high blood pressure, dizziness, anxiety disorders sensitive to stimulation, or certain heart conditions. If you’re pregnant, recovering from recent surgery, or unsure whether this practice is right for you. Always listen to your body and pause if you feel lightheaded or uncomfortable.
